On 5-speed, remove the shift lever cover by sticking your fingers into the rubber boot and grabbing the cover. With auto trans, you push up from underneath (see instructions). |

Unplug the emergency flasher connector. Don't mess with the switch itself (the black cube) - it will come apart and you'll have to figure out how to reassemble it. (Hear the Voice of Experience here?) |

Drill hole and mount microphone as instructions indicate - note difference in position for 5-speed vs auto trans. |

Though the instructions say to remove the subwoofer, this seems to be only necessary if you have an automatic transmission. |

Removing the steering wheel housing was a pain. I broke two of the clips. You have to push in on the lower housing at each clip point to disconnect it from the upper housing. See instructions for clip locations. |
