Foglights, Part 1 Under the Hood The foglights sat around my garage for quite a while before I got up the energy to put them in. Honda's instructions looked kind of intimidating. Like most car stuff, though, one step at a time and everything's cool. |

Note that the switch is sold separately and is available in either black or gray to match your interior. (Dealers occasionally put in the wrong color.) |

If you got this far without banging up your knuckles or throwing out your back, it's time for the Foglights, Part 2 - Under the Dash. (I opted for a beer instead and did Part 2 the following day.) |

The Lights: I studied these for a long time thinking there must be a left and right one but both were identical. |
 |
The Rest: under-hood wire harness, under-dash wire harness, 2 flavors of wire ties, the switch, a relay and light mounting screws |

The bumper is held on by 4 bolts, 2 screws and 13 of these clips - 7 on top around the radiator and 6 underneath the bumper. They pop out easily with a screwdriver. (They also easily fall into the engine compartment...) |
 |
The plastic fantastic Element front bumper removed. (If you ever intend to install any kind of protective inner grille, this is a good time to do it.) |
 |
Hole cut for foglight as in Honda instructions. I had planned to use a Dremmel tool for this but the hacksaw blade recommended by Honda worked better for me. Sand the edges for a cleaner look. |

Routing the harness is pretty straightforward as indicated in the PDF instructions. |
